Discover the Gems of the Lowcountry on a Boating Excursion with Outside Hilton Head

Boat in marsh

Come see native dolphins around the Island in their natural habitat. You can even explore pristine, remote waterways while stopping on hidden sandbars to hunt for shells. If fast adventure is your thing, you will want to try boat tubing, water skiing, or let us customize a full day adventure with all of your favorite family activities!

Outside Hilton Head Shared Boating Tours offer great opportunities to explore Hilton Head from the water and see our most famous inhabitants, The Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin. Shared Boating Tours are scheduled daily from Shelter Cove Marina and Palmetto Bluff. Reservations are required.

We offer several options for high quality, small group Dolphin Tours. Our three hour Beachcombing Cruise is a family favorite. Take a dolphin watching tour over to a remote Vanishing Island where you will collect shells and see fantastic wildlife. The Vanishing Island is only around at low tide, so this trip leaves at different times every day. The three hour Full Tide Discovery Tour is the Dolphin Tour designed for nature lovers. Scheduled daily at high tide, your Captain will use the increased water levels to get into remote creeks rarely explored. If you are looking for a shorter trip, opt for our ninety minute Dolphin Eco Tour. This popular trip takes you into the marsh looking for dolphins and other wildlife, while learning about the area history and culture.

In addition to Dolphin Tours, we offer Shared Boating Trips to Old Town Bluffton, Page Island and Daufuskie Island. The Bluffton Experience is a four hour trip that combines a boat ride on the May River, with a visit to quaint, historic downtown Bluffton. Cultural travelers will enjoy our popular Daufuskie History and Artisans Tour, which combines a guided boat cruise with a golf cart tour of this remote island. Kayak remote creeks on our Outback Excursion which combines a boat ride to our private chain of islands with an over-the-top kayak tour of pristine backwater creeks.

On Tuesdays from mid-June through mid-August, we offer our Fireworks Boat Cruise. This trip starts with a 2 hour Dolphin Tour followed by watching the Shelter Cove Fireworks display from the best seat in the house – out on the water!
