Outside Hilton Head Paddlefest at the 2016 Hilton Head Island Boat Show
Join Outside Hilton Head at the 12th Annual Hilton Head Boat Show this weekend, Friday-Sunday April 22-24 at the Windmill Harbour Marina. This is a great opportunity to check out all of the latest paddle boards, boats, kayaks and more.
Throughout The Hilton Head Island Boat Show, Outside Hilton Head will host Paddle Fest – a celebration of kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. At the Paddle Fest village section of the Boat Show you can try out every kayak and paddle board that Outside sells and meet official representative from boat and board brands conducted by Outside’s extensively trained, professional staff. In addition, Kayak Fishing clinics will be run by Michael Garrett, Hobie Fishing Team member.
In addition, a variety of outdoor lifestyle merchandise will be for sale at Paddle Fest including men’s and women’s apparel, sunglasses, sandals, sun protection, coolers and much more.
Paddling season is definitely here! If you are looking to get into a kayak or SUP this spring, Outside Hilton Head has the best selection of quality, reliable equipment. There will be an opportunity to demo every boat and board we sell. In addition, reps from board, boat, gear and lifestyle companies including professional athletes, founders, shapers and designers will be in attendance.
Outside Hilton Head is also very excited to debut the Hobie Eclipse! The Eclipse is the world’s first leg-powered stand up board. Hobie calls the new category of watercraft Mirage Standup. Riding the Mirage Eclipse is as easy as walking. Step on and go! The Mirage Eclipse brings all the advantages of a Mirage kayak to the standup world. It’s so welcoming, there’s virtually no learning curve. Modest winds are no impediment. The Mirage Eclipse is stable and quick, with sleek handlebars that enhance balance. Intuitive fingertip rudder controls make the Mirage Eclipse incredibly nimble and easy to steer. There are two models, the Mirage Eclipse 10.5 and 12. The larger version is 12 feet long and 35 inches wide, rated for 275 pounds. The hull weighs 48 pounds. The 10.5 is 33.5 inches wide and ten and a half feet long. The capacity for the more compact model is 225 pounds. It weighs about 5 pounds less than the larger model. Come check it out!
