If you want a unique and custom outing for your group, Destinations by Outside’s motto is: “Your day, your way!” Let us know what you and your group have in mind and Outside will make it happen! From art and culinary experiences to historic excursions and tours, and even wellness activities and programs, there is truly something everyone will enjoy. Here are some amazing ideas for group outings that are sure to impress!

Dinner Cruise – With the Lowcountry’s temperate seasons, you can enjoy a dinner cruise nearly year-round.

Bluffton Shopping and Gallery Tour – Enjoy a scenic boat ride from the Shelter Cove Marina through pristine and remote backcountry salt marsh creeks from the Hilton Head to the old village of Bluffton, South Carolina. This bucolic hamlet, nestled along the May River, is a true gem of the south. Casually stroll along the cozy streets lined with moss draped oaks. Points of interest will include the antebellum Church of the Cross (1854), 19th century homes, funky shops, artisan studios, art galleries and more. An additional highlight of this October outing will be a visit to the Bluffton Oyster Company, the last working oyster factory in SC. As it is the heart of oyster season you will view oystermen bringing in their catch and the ladies shucking. While there enjoy a sumptuous sampling of fresh oysters and shrimp.

Sand Bar Events – If you and your group need a day of relaxing and unwinding Lowcountry-style, Outside knows just the spot to do it.

Cooking Demonstrations – There are some wonderful state-of-the-art cooking facilities in the Low Country area that would be perfect for a group outing. There are options for cooking demonstrations and hands-on classes to learn great recipes with a variety of themes in both the Savannah and Hilton Head area. Some of the most popular enjoyed are Traditional Low Country fare or Healthy/Flavorful/Nutritious Menu Items. The chef led class serves as a meal and is enjoyable for all ages!

Artisans Fair – Set up like a fair-like setting with each Artist in their own tent for your guests to casually visit each booth. Example of local artists to be showcased a painter/colorist, jewelry maker/designer, potter, basket weaver, photographer, tile artist, and many others! A great way to learn about the Low Country by seeing its many crafts created locally!

Pottery Demonstration – A local artisan will welcome a group into his studio to personally demonstrate the art of producing pottery. Each guest will also get their try on the “wheel” and will make their own creation. The creations are then fired and mailed to the guests after their departures. A great amenity gift idea!

Fashion Shows – Local boutiques are thrilled to put together a variety of ensembles shown by local celebrity models as your entertainment during a luncheon or cocktail party. The event is moderated by a spokesperson who will describe in detail the outfits along with the designers’ information.
