In an effort to provide winter coats and jackets to those that may not be able to afford them, Outside Hilton Head is conducting its annual ‘Recycle Your Jacket’ program. The in-store promotion will run from February 1 - 15 at the Outside Hilton Head Flagship Store in The Plaza at Shelter Cove.

Did you know? 2019 will mark the 27th year that Outside Hilton Head has conducted the ‘Recycle Your Jacket’ program!! In prior years, over 7,000 coats and jackets have been collected and donated.

Any jacket, coat or sweater that is in clean and functional condition may be brought to The Outside Hilton Head Store in The Plaza at Shelter Cove. Jackets collected will be distributed through the Deep Well Project to area citizens who are in need. In addition to providing this service, Outside Hilton Head will be offering up to 50% OFF of new jackets, coats, winter sportswear and fleece to all who donate a piece.

About Deep Well

A predominantly volunteer-based non-profit, with a minimum of paid staff, Deep Well has been helping islanders since 1973. The organization was founded by Charlotte Heinrichs as a service to locals who suffered illness as a result of drinking contaminated water from shallow wells. Needs evolved and so did Deep Well (as it's known on the Island). They help people in emergency situations by giving them an immediate hand up, so they can continue to help themselves.
