NEW: 4 hour Birding & Beachcombing Paddle
Outside Hilton Head is excited to offer a wonderful 4 hour tour through the waters surrounding the Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge. This dynamic sanctuary, separated from Hilton Head Island by Skull Creek is the northernmost in the chain comprising the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. Pinckney Island is recognized for it's outstanding habitat as well as its historic significance. Home to a magnificant population of both resident and migrant birds, it is not unusually to see eagles soaring overhead or woodstorks, herons and ibis flocking to refuge rookeries. Dolphins are often seen frolicking on their way towards the Port Royal Sound.
Departing from the new OHH Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge Kayak Center dock at Hudson's Restaurant, this tour allows plenty of time to investigate Pinckney's pristine marshes and shellbanks.
We'll begin with a paddling clinic to refresh your skills. Touring kayaks are available, as well as recreational singles and doubles. We provide paddles, pfd's, light snacks and refreshment
Offered for experienced paddlers and enthusiastic beginners. 4 hours. $75 per paddler.

Outside Hilton Head's custom kayak excursions are typically 4 to 6 hours in length. Options include the New River, the May River, Bull Creek, and the ACE basin. All custom kayak excursions are designed to take advantage of favorable weather and tidal conditions.
