First, you will enjoy our fun and informative 2-hour Guided Kayak Nature Tour. Next, you will park in the marsh with the best seats in the house for the Shelter Cove HarbourFest fireworks. The Kayaking Tour is led by a trained interpretive naturalist/kayak guide. Tour includes instruction, equipment and guide. Tuesday evenings from June 19th through August 7th from Shelter Cove Marina.

This program begins with a brief paddling clinic followed by a leisurely paddle from the beach to Joiner Banks. Exposed at low tide, Joiner Banks is a true gem of the Lowcountry. Here participants can explore, look for living whelks, lettered olives, sand dollars, and other shells. It is not unusual to see sea turtles, little sharks and great bird life. Magnificent views of Hilton Head and The Port Royal Sound. An amazing trip. Call for weekly schedule.

Located along the Cooper River—across from the undeveloped side of Daufuskie Island—Page Island is the perfect outpost to begin a distinctive kayak tour. The creeks back there are peaceful and beautiful. The scenery is breathtaking and the experience remarkable. No experience is necessary. We provide all the instruction and equipment. This is an Outside exclusive and one of our most popular family programs. 4 1/2 hours on Tuesday-Friday mornings from Shelter Cove Marina.

Departing from the Pinckney Island Kayak Center at Hudson's Restaurant, you will explore the marshes and learn about the history and culture of a great saltwater eco-system along Skull Creek (ask your guide why it is called this) and the banks of the Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge. You will also stop at a shell bank or remote beach for Hilton Head bird watching, exploring and discovering. For ages 13+ and experienced paddlers and enthusiastic beginners. Our Lowcountry tour includes instruction, equipment and guide, snack and refreshment. Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

This is an absolute gem of a kayak tour. Departing from Palmetto Bluff, you will paddle the historic May River, learn Lowcountry lore, visit remote sandbars, see historic Bluffton and learn about the rich antebellum and shellfish history and commerce. No experience necessary.
