'Paddle with an Author' Kayak Tour w/ Naturalist Todd Ballantine
Join acclaimed naturalist and author Todd Ballantine for a guided kayak tour through the beautiful salt marsh ecosystem of Broad Creek. Through his series of columns Mr. Ballantine illustrated through his words and pictures the intricacies and beauty of our coastal environment. Using his approach as an Interpretive Naturalist, participants will gain an understanding of, and greater appreciation for, the tidal salt marsh. Price for this tour is $50 per person, which also includes a signed copy of his collection of columns titled "Tideland Treasure".

Kids and Teen Programs!
Outside Hilton Head has been conducting youth programs on Hilton Head Island since 1979. Our staff of fun and enthusiast outdoor educators and naturalists are anticipating a wonderful spring and summer of great camps with your kids and teens. Kids Camp programs include Discovery Days for 7 to 10 year olds and Eco-Venture for 11 to 14 year olds.
Teen programs include Teen Kayaking, Adventure Island, Teen Tube Night and Page Island Teen Expedition Overnight Camp.
Spring Fishing!
With inshore water temperatures averaging 66 degrees, expect cobia to be arriving soon. Cobia have moved closer to shore but continue to cruise the outer buoys and channel markers. Larger cobia remain offshore while juveniles appear to be testing near-shore waters in pursuit of easier meals. When surface water temps reach that magic 70-degree mark, anglers will see a change in feeding patterns and bigger numbers of cobia inshore.
Other active species include flounder, sheepshead, black drum, spottail bass, whiting, croaker, wahoo, dolphin, shark, blackfish, grouper and snapper.
