Other Requirements

In addition to Guide Training, there are a handful of other requirements we’d like you to be aware of: All new guides are required to have a mobile phone for emergency use during tours. Also, you will need sport sandals (like those from Chaco and Teva) that attach around the ankle and will stay on your feet in the water. If you don’t have any yet, you can get them from us (super discounts on gear for guides!). Most full-time employees invest in additional uniforms for convenience, but this is not required. Uniform gear is typically available below wholesale cost. All guides are required to maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.  We can arrange a course for you ($25-$40), or you can complete this requirement on your own.
